New Application Process
Applicants for the academic year 2020-2021 Westland Foundation Education Fund (WFEF) Scholarship are required to apply through our online form.
The deadline for submission of application is July 31, 2020.
Applicants should be graduates of inner-Winnipeg high schools and are registering at Red River College, the University of Manitoba, or the University of Winnipeg.
**Applicants who are registered in Red River College Culinary Arts program are considered automatically for the Westland-Carbone Culinary Arts scholarship.
Applicants for the WFEF Scholarship toward the University of Manitoba will receive their scholarships provided they are registered in 24 credit hours.
Please note that the final mark of each course earned only from eligible Grade 7 to 12 inner-Winnipeg schools is counted toward the WFEF scholarship.

**We apologize for the inconvenience. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to raise funds for the 2020-2021 Carbone scholarship. Please check back in the summer of 2021 for any updates.
Before completing the form:
Step 1: Have a copy of your official Transcript of Records from Grade 7 to 12 (or report cards, for applicants that may not have their Grade 7 and 8 Transcripts of Records).
Step 2: Use a marker to highlight your eligible marks, count them and take note of the total count:
- If applying for the WFEF scholarship toward Red River College, highlight your final marks of 70% and higher from eligible inner-Winnipeg schools. Count your final marks of 70% to 79% and your final marks of 80% and higher from eligible inner-Winnipeg schools. You will be asked to provide us with the total count through the online form. The total count will determine your scholarship amount.
- If applying for the WFEF scholarship toward the University of Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg, highlight your final marks of 80% and higher from eligible inner-Winnipeg schools. Count your final marks of 80% and higher from eligible inner-Winnipeg schools. You will be asked to provide us with the total count through the online form. The total count will determine your scholarship amount.
Step 3: Scan your Transcript of Records (or report cards). Name the file with your last name followed by a comma then your first name (ex. Smith, Amanda) and save it as ONE PDF file.

Step 5: Upload the scanned copy of your highlighted Official Grade 7 to 12 Transcripts of Records (or report cards) as one file attachment to the application form.
Step 6: Submit your application on or before July 31, 2020.
