Westland Foundation Education Fund (WFEF) scholarships are available toward first-year tuition fees at RRC Polytech, the University of Manitoba, and the University of Winnipeg.
Who is eligible
Students who have completed Grade 7 to 12 in any inner-Winnipeg schools.
Check out our list of inner-Winnipeg schools.
Students can still avail the scholarship up to 30 months from the date of their Grade 12 graduation.
How it works
For RRC Polytech, every 70% and higher final mark per subject taken from Grades 7 to 12 inner-Winnipeg schools becomes a credit toward the WFEF scholarship.
Year two scholarships are awarded at RRC Polytech, provided there are remaining scholarship funds. Students have to achieve a minimum of 3.0 GPA from their first year of studies and continue with their original program for their second year of studies to receive the year two scholarship.
**Annually, the Westland-Carbone Culinary Arts Scholarship is provided automatically to top three WFEF Scholars who are registered in RRC Polytech's Culinary Arts program.
**We apologize for the inconvenience. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on our fundraising efforts, we have paused awarding the Westland-Carbone Culinary Arts Scholarship. Please watch out for any updates.
For the University of Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg, every 80% and higher final mark per subject taken from Grades 7 to 12 inner-Winnipeg schools is credited.
Eligible students for a scholarship toward the University of Manitoba will receive their scholarships provided they are registered in 24 credit hours.
